NEWS RELEASE
Valad secures renewals in Bucharest to two important Romanian companies: Coelco Trade & Bravo Group
Valad Europe (“Valad”), the pan-European real estate investment manager, announces that its Romanian team has signed two important renewals in A1 Business Park, Bucharest with the companies: Coelco Trade SRL and Bravo Group, totalling more than more than 7,500 sq m of warehouse and office space.
Situated on the A1 Highway, the A1 Business Park is owned by Valad’s Central European Investment Fund (“CEIF”) and is one of the leading developments providing small and medium-sized quality office, commercial and warehousing space in the Bucharest area. Existing tenants include DHL, Dover, Sanirom, Studio Moderna, Newpac etc.
Silviana Badea, Country Manager at Valad Romania, said: “When one of our oldest tenant partners chooses to continue their activity within one of our properties, the message to us as asset managers and to the whole team managing the estate is extremely encouraging; it sais that our work is not going unappreciated and that offering a good quality premise, great services and a partnership approach to the Landlord-Tenant relationship, is being repayed by the loyalty of our clients. It gives me great pleasure to be able to say that both Coelco and Bravo Group fall in the category above and have renewed their existing contracts with us for another 3 and 5 years respectively.”
Vlad Dobrisanu, Executive Director of Coelco, commented: I am really confident in this cooperation. This “International Experience” gives us some ideas about the trend of these services.
Mihaela Ionita, Marketing Manager of Bravo Group, commented: in the crises period, companies check carefully their cost and reduce them. Some managers decide to move in lower quality warehouses to save some of the operational cost. Bravo tried to keep the high logistic standard, as an obligation for its present and future customers and tried to improve the contract conditions with Valad. It was a pleasant surprise to see that a huge company like Valad could be very flexible, trying to understand our business and find the best compromise to continue our partnership.
Valad has let over 25,000 sq m of space in Romania and 120,000 sq m across the whole of the Central and Eastern Europe (“CEE”) region in 2010, through both lease renewals and new lettings. Valad manages more than 600,000 sq m of space in CEE and employs 16 people across its four offices in Romania, Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic.
Coelco, an electrical equipment wholesaler and voltage panel manufacturer, was founded at the beginning of 1998, having as main activity the distribution of low voltage equipment and materials for electrical installation. Coelco Trade is certified partner of Elsteel Denmark for building and manufacturing TTA/PTTA panels up to 7000 Amps. using the modular system “techno Module”. Coelco Trade offers customized, technically advanced and comprehensive solutions for hazardous locations.
Bravo Group, a national distributor of high quality ceramic and sanitary, was founded in 1994 being now one of the older companies from Romania. Products coming from the leading European manufacturers are introduced in the market through four different channels: DIY, traditional ceramic and sanitary dealers, special projects and Laguna showrooms. Working with the most demanding market segments, the logistic services must be always at the highest level.
In the year 2010, Valad’s European asset management team leased over one million sq m of space across Europe, through 1,500 transactions, averaging 30 leases signed per week and six leases signed per day.
